Is the container really safe to use in the microwave?
Yes, you read that correctly—these steel containers are microwave-safe. We know we’ve all been taught that metal can’t go in the microwave, but that’s only partly true. There are certainly some metals that shouldn’t be placed in a microwave, but that doesn’t include the high-quality stainless steel used by Black+Blum. This type of steel, combined with the smooth, rounded shape of the steel containers, means they won’t cause sparks and are safe for use in the microwave.

Can you use the lid in the microwave?Yes, the lid is specially designed to eliminate the need for disposable plastic wrap while also preventing splatters during microwave cooking. Just make sure the lid vent is open to prevent pressure buildup and let the steam escape, and you’re all set.
